(Allow 1 pkg. Rice-a_roni for each 5 lbs. of turkey, chicken, duck or cornish game hen. Increase other ingredients proportionately.)
1 pkg. Chicken or Wild Rice-a-Roni
1/4 cup minced onion
1/2 to 1 tsp. poultry seasoning (or sage)
1/2 cup diced celery
Variation: (add 1 or 2 of the following)
1/4 cup mushrooms, fresh or canned
1/4 cup raisins
1/2 cup walnuts, plain or toasted
3/4 cup chopped apple
First, prepare the Rice-a-Roni as package directs. While hot, stir in remaining ingredients. Toss lightly together until thoroughly mixed. Stuff, truss and cook fowl as usual.
