I'm guessing these recipes came from the 1960s or earlier. Because, you see, my dear Watson, the first recipe calls for "catsup" and by the 70s most Americans referred to the condiment as "ketchup." Elementary.
Split English muffins. Spread with ketchup or tomato paste. Cover with a slice of cheddar cheese and chopped salami. Top with drained crushed pineapple. Sprinkle with oregano. Bake in a 400˚ oven for 15 minutes.
Pineapple Cream Cheese Pie
Beat 2 eggs with 1/2 cup sugar. Combine mixture with 11 oz. cream cheese and beat until smooth. Pour into an 8- or 9-inch graham cracker crust. Top with 1 1/2 cups drained crushed pineapple. Bake at 350˚ for 25 to 30 minutes. Chill one hour.
