Here's a 1958 recipe for Peas Indienne.
2 tbsp. butter or margarine
1/4 to 3/4 tsp. curry powder, according to taste
1/4 to 1/2 cup salted peanuts, chopped
1 17-oz. can Del Monte Early Garden Peas
Melt butter or margarine. Mix in curry powder, add peanuts; saute 2 minutes.Add well-drained peas and mix carefully with fork until peas are hot. Serves 4.
