Retro Halloween cocktail recipe

Calling the Ronrico Rumkin a Halloween cocktail is a bit of a stretch since none of the ingredients has anything to do with Halloween.

The recipe for the Ronrico Rumkim, as it appears in the above 1983 ad:

1 oz. of Ronrico Rum
Orange juice
Dash of grenadine

Pour Ronrico Rum into a highball glass with ice cubes. Fill glass with orange juice. Add a splash of grenadine. Stir lightly.

1978 cocktail: the Hiram Walker Sour Ball

Here's the 1978 recipe for the tart and sweet Hiram Walker Sour Ball:

Pack your glass with lots of ice, pour in 1 1/2 ounces of Hiram Walker Apricot Flavored Brandy, top it off with the juices of half a lemon and half an orange and stir.

Questionable retro recipe: Rosy Chicken Soup from 1952

I couldn't make myself try the Rosy Chicken Soup recipe from this 1950s-era ad for Premium saltines. The combination of milk and chicken soup just doesn't sit well with me.
