I may be crazy, but this sounds like it could be good -- especially with the addition of a little rum or whiskey.

Hot Dr. Pepper will be forever linked in my brain with Christopher Walken, thanks to the movie "Blast from the Past".

Not Christopher Walken, but Sissy Spacek in my brain. I had never heard of hot Dr. Pepper until I saw Blast from the Past. What a great movie until Alicia Silverstone showed up.
