This is a cork-backed coaster from Planters' 1991 celebration of its Mr. Peanut character.
According to Wikipedia:
In 1916 the (Planters) company held a contest to create a company logo. A fourteen year-old schoolboy named Antonio Gentile won the contest with his drawing of a Peanut Man and an artist later added spats, a top hat, a monocle, and a cane to the drawing, and Mr. Peanut was born.
I sent away for the coaster in the early 1990s. It's still in great condition.
I'm giving the Mr. Peanut coaster away for free to the first person who asks for it.
