The Goldenrod has been making salt water taffy in York Beach, Maine since 1896.These neon signs haven't been there since then, but they are vintage treasures.
Goldenrod's sells other types of candy, too. They also serve breakfast and lunch. And homemade ice cream.
It's one of my favorite places.
They don't make those neon signs like they used to. Now, people use stainless steel signs, strapping them to a post or something. The only place where neon lights like these would still work would probably be in Vegas only. I wish I can visit that place someday.
