A dying art form to be sure. Lileks has a great collection of these on his site, too.

Wow, this brings back memories of my mother. My parents spent the final 20 years of their life traveling - all over the USA - all over the world. My mother used to collect matchbooks from everywhere she went; she had thousands of them and didn't even smoke. I'd forgotten all about that peculiar collectible. Makes me miss her aand her quirky ways. I wonder what happened to that whole collection? ... hmmm ... it'll bug me all day now until I find out!
