Maybe I am bit too obsessed with Mad Men, but these pictures make me all swoony inside.

This all rings vaguely familiar for me. I was tiny in the mid 70s so its just about possible that some of my mother's friends had really old kitchens like these. So zappy though, so spaceage! I have a nice one I found in a set of flipcharts for primary school children in Frnace, I'll send you a copy by email if you like, it comes complete with Maman cooking...or maybe I'll blog it, they're pretty funny...

A lot of these kitchens would fit right in with today's style. Many are now going for the "retro" look.
