"Let's have a prune party" ranks right up there on the list of phrases unlikely ever to occur in nature. The asterisk at the end is like a manifestation of the copy writer's guilty conscience, implying a footnote somewhere off the page that reads along the lines of "Seriously, no one has every had or ever will have a 'prune party.' You know it, and I know it, but the system makes fools of us both. Just buy some prunes so I can keep my job, OK?"
