You may have heard about the controversy surrounding this image of Beyonce. It was distributed by Roberto Cavalli in a press release. Cavalli designed the above stage costume for the singer.

The controversy surrounds the freakish photoshopping that makes Beyonce look like a fashion sketch. And fashion sketches depict women as emaciated, elongated human clothes hangers whose only purpose is to make clothes look appealing. 

Reportedly, Beyonce is not happy. 

The whole thing reminded me of this anorexia-awareness ad campaign from Brazilian modeling agency, Star Models.

I love cheesy sci-fi. Haven't seen this film, but Wikipedia's description of it looks promising:

An idyllic remote Irish island is invaded by enormous bloodsucking tentacled creatures from the sea. With islanders turning up decapitated and drained of blood, the inhabitants learn that the creatures—called Grabbers—are allergic to alcohol, making intoxicated people toxic to eat. Overrun and under attack, the hopeless locals realize that in order to stay alive through a storm that's keeping everyone trapped on the island, they're going to have to band together at the pub and do their best to survive the night.

The photoshopping on Joanna Rohrback's website is as entertaining as the Prancercise movements she invented.

 

In case you haven't yet discovered Prancercise, it's a "fitness revolution" based on a "springy, rhythmic way of moving, similar to a horse's gait and ideally induced by elation."

Keith Richards handwrites thank you notes

According to Keith Richards' Facebook page, the rock legend had been invited and planned to attend George Jones farewell concert scheduled for November 22. Sadly, George Jones passed away last week.

 

Let this be a lesson to you young'uns. If you go on to be famous, no one is going to publish or be thrilled to read your thank you emails.
