Ogivly & Mather Vietnam created this installation to launch Vietnam's first-ever animated film festival and advertise a screening of King Kong: a giant banana peel 'dropped' atop an apartment building in Ho Chi Min City.
By the way, does anyone know when Viet Nam became Vietnam in American English? I can't find an answer on the Internet.
Tuesday night, GQ held its Men of the Year Awards.
At the after-party, award recipient comedian/actor Russell Brand had a few words to say about the event's corporate sponsor, German fashion house Hugo Boss. Russell Brand said:
Any of you who know a little bit about history and fashion will know that Hugo Boss made the uniforms for the Nazis. The Nazis did have flaws, but, you know, they did look fucking fantastic, let's face it, while they were killing people on the basis of their religion and sexuality.
GQ had Russell Brand, a.k.a. the Ex-Mr. Katy Perry, ejected from the event shortly afterwards. Which, if you ask me, made it even more likely that reports of Russell Brand's comments would be all over the Internet and other media.
What's more, if the folks at GQ want to be known as journalists, they can't go around punishing people for speaking the truth about their event sponsor. Just saying.
