Back in the early 1990s, while I was standing in line at the South Station post office, a Boston news anchor aimed a microphone at me and asked which Elvis stamp I liked better.
At the time, the U.S. Postal Service was allowing the public to vote and decide which image of Elvis Presley would make it onto a commemorative stamp. The choices were Old Elvis (less kindly referred to as Fat Elvis) and Young Elvis. I choose Young Elvis, as did the majority of voters and so the stamp looked like this.

Right now, the U.S.P.S. is sponsoring another vote, this time in connection with a series of Star Wars stamps slated for production. Go to the U.S.P.S. website's Jedi Master page and cast your vote for which of 15 stamps will be made into it's own separate sheet in addition to appearing on sheet with the 14 non-winners (losers is such a harsh word, don't you think?).

If you want to know how I voted for a Star Wars stamp, you'll need a microphone and cameraperson.
