Dear Piggly Wiggly, please open some stores in Massachusetts

This, week, I got to shop at my favorite grocery store in the whole wide world, Piggly Wiggly.

This particular Piggly Wiggly is in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. It's clean, bright, well-stocked and, best of all, it's named Piggly Wiggly, the most awesome grocery store name ever.

 

According to Wikipedia, Piggly Wiggly was the first to:

• provide checkout stands.
• price mark every item in the store.
• feature a full line of nationally advertised brands.
  
• use refrigerated cases to keep produce fresher longer.
  
• put employees in uniforms for cleaner, more sanitary food handling.
  
• design and use patented fixtures and equipment throughout the store.
  
• franchise independent grocers to operate under the self-service method of food merchandising.

If you're ever in Brunswick, Maine, you absolutely have to go to the Fat Boy Drive-In. This isn't some Sonic drive-in wannabee, this is the real thing. Established in the 1950s. Amazing burgers and heavenly onion rings.
