NPR reports on a survey of 700+ employers who were looking to hire recent college graduates. Turns out:
- Close to 1/3 of the employers said the graduates' parents had submitted resumes on their child's behalf, some without informing the child.
- 25% heard from the young adults' parents urging the employer to hire their son or daughter for a position.
- 4% reported that a parent actually showed up for the candidate's job interview.
