Yesterday, the Florida Times-Union ran a gun show ad on the front page, next to a big report on a tragic shooting. Oops.

As a frequent "gun show" attendee, I assure you that evidence of gun related violence tends to increase attendance. It's a signal that the hoplophobes in the media will be hitting the anti-gun messaging hard - so time to buy another gun and stock up on ammo before the inevitable new laws hit the books.

Nevertheless, this ad's timing and placement make the Gun Show organizers look callous.
