I think the point is that most RP supporters realize that the federal reserve notes we use now are just PAPER, not real money that holds any intrinsic value. So no, defacing fiat currency as an advertising method for Ron Paul is not all that odd. & it's also a purely grassroots thing, not campaign sanctioned.
