From now on, I'm the only one allowed to throw people under the bus
I want everyone to stop using the phrase where someone gets thrown under the bus. It's one of my favorite phrases. I've been using it for at least 10 years, ever since I first heard my brother Tommy use it. (For a long time, I thought he'd made it up.) Now a bunch of Johnny-come-latelys have started using and overusing the phrase, threatening to turn it into a cliche. That won't do. So, everybody just stop talking about people being thrown under the bus. Right now. And I can continue to say it whenever I want.
There. I'm glad that's settled.

It's been around a lot longer than that in the car business. It was standard vernacular in 1993, during my stint in said business.
I love this blog, btw.
